Our RFID equipment enables Institute of Marine Research Norway (IMR) to trace mackerel and herring. Each season IMR fishes’ tens of thousands of mackerel and herring. They tag the fish with RFID tags provided by us and release them into the sea again. Later, when the fish are caught by commercial fishing companies, the tagged fish is registered by our equipment located on the conveyor belts and intakes in the fish factories.

The data that are collected are used by the IMR to do comprehensive research on mackerel and herring. The research also provides vital information to determine fishing quotas for each season.
